![]() ![]() So please can anybody help me sort this out? I got it for Christmas so that you give you perspective on how long I've spent trying to get it working by myself. Whether you fold your own or buy a certified viewer, you're just one step away from experiencing virtual. ![]() Because after all the hours I've been messing with this it's just been freezing pages, constantly removing and reinserting the phone, double vision, and headaches, but to me rationally "big screen so it can't be done" seems bogus. Google Cardboard brings immersive experiences to everyone in a simple and affordable way. The focus wasn't too great for me either, giving me double vision sometimes and headaches. ok, I can see the edges of the lenses im looking through and i feel like im looking through a hole and cant get INTO the VR world on the other side. I just really really really really really would appreciate help getting this calibrated. The Cardboard headset didnt do it for me, I was like. Ok, so I feel like the trick with a really big screen would be to adjust these, but which way? Should they be larger or smaller with a big screen? How much larger or smaller? etc. Does anybody have any insight into how to figure these out?įield-of-view angles Outer (°) 50 Inner (°) 50 Top (°) 50 Bottom (°) 50 Then I have to reload the page (which is a pain in the ass because you have to take the headset off and slide it partially out to do this).Īny idea what these mean? What values did somebody use for these for a small screen? What did they use for a large screen? Maybe we can just extrapolate appropriate values for these from what other people have been doing. I have no idea what they do and when I play around with them in the 3d calibrated room more often than not they just crash the thing after a few seconds of adjustment. The bald eagle takes you on its flight over fields and forests. Screen to lens distance (mm) Inter-lens distance (mm) Tray to lens-center distance (mm) -I can probably figure these out pretty close, if somebody has the official specs for the colorcross that would be great or the numbers you might have used when calibrating it, it's hard to get it perfect because it's not like you can shove the ruler physically through the plastic.ĭistortion coefficients k1 k2 -I HATE these. Take a Virtual Reality flight with a real bald eagle. So here's where I'm at, with figuring these out. But there are too many settings to mess with. I really wanted to do google cardboard with my phone and although the mega is pushing what can work with cardboard I feel like with the right settings it should work. I have spent hours and hours trying to get the thing to work and it keeps ALMOST working.Īnd it's probably the closest I've gotten, but I'm sure it's calibrated for a smaller phone though. ![]()
